Electrophotonics Corp.

Electrophotonics Corp. was imagined and built to design innovative components and modules for optical networks. Founded using venture capital funding that Whitecap provided in February of 1998, the company created essential products such as Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) components, dispersion equalization modules, and network performance monitoring subsystems. In June of 1999, Electrophotonics was acquired by leading fiber optic systems module and component manufacturer E-TEK Dynamics Inc. (NASDAQ: ETEK), which subsequently merged with JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ: JDSU; TSE: JDU) in January 2000.
